Thesis Statements.

I'm scrolling down my dashboard to see what everyone else is blogging about and guess what I discovered?
Thesis statements on everyone's mind. Shocker.
Now with me just saying this, it's ironic, but my blog was also going to be about class this week.

I am beyond nervous for this essay. For one, I haven't even come up with a great thesis statement. I stuck with my generic formula, just like 95% of the class. Secondly, after we got our tests back, I got to see how Mr. Mullins grades papers, and I do not like it. He grades hard, which helps in improving our skills, but not good for my report card. My grade went down to a 82. I'm not gonna lie, I'm gonna miss the formula, it helped me. Now I feel like I'm all alone to do a random essay by myself in less than two weeks. Woot.

On another note, I picked my second independent book and even started on it. I'm reading Pride & Prejudice, a couple years ago I tried to read it too but the terminology and way they talk freaked me out so much that when I picked it up, I was still trying not to put it back down by reflex.

  1. I feel the same way! The grading scale is so much harder than any of my other classes. I'm also stuck, I have also relied on the formula so I definitely need to figure out how to write a good thesis. Maybe this is good though, better now than in college, right? (:
